The Northeast Stock Horse Association

Presents

ROOKIE  WEEKEND

At Willow Brook Farms in Catasauqua, PA

April 16 and 17, 2011 beginning at 9AM both days

The Northeast Stock Horse Association is offering this 2nd annual event to allow rookies a chance to learn from NRCHA, NRHA, AQHA, NCHA, and NSHA professionals. Day 1 of the weekend will consist of riders and horses being schooled in the areas of ranch trail, roping, reining, and cow working, the necessary components to compete in Northeast Stock Horse Association shows. The riders will learn the ins & outs of competition in a comfortable, relaxed setting that focuses on having fun. Day 2 of the weekend gives rookies the chance to compete against other rookies for prizes on both a team & individual levels with the guidance of their professional trainer.  This day is designed for amateur riders (those not having earned more than $500 in NRCHA or AQHA working cow horse). It is to encourage riders to embrace the show experience, whether you are new to the sport, are trying to overcome anxiety in the show pen, or are introducing a new horse to the event. This weekend is designed for you! The cost of the two day event is $150 per person to participate. Auditors are also welcome at a fee of $25.  Pre-registration is required by contacting Desiree Hoyt by phone at 570-885-8626 or email gchoyt@epix.net.  Full payment is required for registration. The deadline for registration is April 4, 2011. There are limited spaces available. Don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity!
